From 20 July, start your weekends with a stylish picnic brunch in the rooftop garden of Crowne Plaza Budapest
With white reminiscent of tropical sandy beaches, frothy bean-pink and ocean-front blue, Crowne Plaza Budapest is creating picnic islands with a special atmosphere in its downtown rooftop garden. The gardeners of the hotel, which takes great care of its gardens, have recently paid special attention to the rooftop garden, surrounded by quince trees and bushes, to create a natural atmosphere for picnic islands and tents. Located on a terrace in the heart of the town, the site will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 20 July to 1 September for a brunch for those who want to start the day with a delicious snack in a sumptuous setting. A rich buffet breakfast of fresh fruit, yoghurts, salads and pastries is served alongside a Benedict egg with hollandaise sauce and grilled tomatoes, or the seasonal dish of Hungarian cuisine, egg lecsó. Choose from avocado toast with poached eggs and fresh salad, oatmeal with fresh berries, or creamy Greek yoghurt with homemade granola and honey, or even a champagne and mimosa cocktail to toast the weekend. Crowne Plaza Budapest's breakfast is also worth trying because it came second out of 86 European hotels in a guest satisfaction survey last year.
This year, the hotel collaborated with the Effclusive Picnics team, specialised in picnic planning, to plan the event. The beautifully decorated venue is dominated by pastel colours and natural materials, complemented by elegant floral arrangements, candles and delicate textiles. Comfortable seating, cushions and blankets, as well as low, portable tables ensure guests' comfort. Delicious meals and refreshments are served in style, while the beautifully restored hall of the Eiffel-designed Paris Western Station and the domes of the surrounding historic buildings offer stunning views.
